KUALA LUMPUR, July 12 — The Securities Industry Development Corporation (SIDC) marked a significant achievement today with the graduation of 248 professionals from its Certified Capital Market Professional (CCMP) certification programmes. This milestone ceremony, attended by key industry figures including Lim Hui Ying, Deputy Minister of Finance, and Dato’ Mohammad Faiz Azmi, Executive Chairman of Securities Commission Malaysia, recognized the dedication and expertise of graduates in enhancing Malaysia’s capital market.
The graduates, comprising 189 from CCMP in Dealing in Derivatives and 59 from CCMP in Compliance, represent 43 leading institutions within the financial sector. Tengku Zarina Tengku Chik, CEO of SIDC, highlighted the programmes’ role in equipping professionals with essential skills and knowledge critical for the industry’s growth. “These certifications not only elevate the credibility of our professionals but also ensure robust compliance and derivatives trading practices,” stated Lim Hui Ying, underscoring the importance of rigorous training to maintain market integrity and investor confidence.
