GEORGE TOWN, August 5 – Penang Chief Minister YAB Tuan Chow Kon Yeow has embarked on an investment and trade mission to the United States, running from 4th to 14th August 2024. Organised by InvestPenang, the state’s investment promotion agency, the mission aims to strengthen ties with American investors and promote Penang as a prime investment destination.
The mission will focus on encouraging existing American investors to expand their operations in Penang and attracting new investments, particularly in sectors such as electrical and electronics, semiconductor, medical devices, and digital economy. The Chief Minister and InvestPenang delegates will engage in meetings and site visits to showcase Penang’s infrastructure advancements and investment opportunities. During this period, Penang’s administrative functions will continue as usual.
