KUALA LUMPUR, August 22 – Varia Berhad (“Varia”) has announced a major contract win through its subsidiary, Pembinaan Teguh Maju Sdn. Bhd. (“PTM”), securing a RM61.4 million project with Kemuncak Pesaka Sdn Bhd. The contract entails the construction and completion of key educational facilities at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris in Tanjong Malim, Perak, including dormitories, an international and mobility center, a language skills center, and supporting infrastructure.
Work is set to commence on 19 August 2024 and is expected to conclude by 31 March 2027. Datuk Benson Lau, Managing Director of Varia, highlighted that this project underscores PTM’s expertise and Varia’s growing presence in the educational sector. He emphasized the company’s commitment to delivering high-quality, sustainable construction projects and expanding its portfolio across various industries.
This contract is anticipated to positively impact Varia’s earnings and enhance its role in Malaysia’s educational development.
