CYBERJAYA, August 23 — The Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Content Forum (Content Forum) successfully concluded its first-ever Animation Short Film Competition, launched in April 2024, aimed at fostering responsible content creation among students from Institutions of Higher Learning (IHLs) across the country. Themed “Inovasi Dalam Penciptaan Kandungan Berhemah” (Innovation in the Creation of Prudent Content), the competition encouraged participants to create animation based on the Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Content Code, promoting quality and ethical storytelling.

The competition’s top honor went to students from the National Academy of Cultural Arts and Heritage (ASWARA) for their animation “T.M.I.,” which explored the dangers of oversharing information online. Nadiah Farhanah binti Alfian, representing the winning team, emphasized the importance of being cautious with what is shared on the internet to protect oneself from potential harm. The event also featured insightful discussions with industry experts, including a talk by Hassan Muthalib, the Father of Malaysian Animation, inspiring the next generation of animators.
