PUTRAJAYA, August 31 – The Ministry of Health today reassured Malaysians that there is no shortage of human insulin in the country, confirming that the current supply is sufficient to last until the end of the year. Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad addressed concerns, stating that the ministry is proactively seeking additional suppliers to ensure a continuous supply.

Dr. Dzulkefly clarified that recent disruptions were due to production issues with one supplier, but emphasized that alternative solutions, including the fast-tracked procurement of insulin from other suppliers, are being implemented. He stressed that patient care remains a top priority, with no reports of patients lacking access to prescribed insulin.
