KUALA LUMPUR, August 29 – This September, IKEA is inviting Malaysians to catch up on their much-needed rest with the IKEA Snooze Fest, a month-long celebration dedicated to the art of sleep. Kicking off on 7 September, this pyjama-clad festival will be held across all IKEA stores nationwide, offering a mix of live performances, workshops, and even power nap competitions to help Malaysians rediscover the importance of quality sleep.

The Snooze Fest comes at a critical time, with studies highlighting that 9 out of 10 Malaysians experience insomnia, and more than half of working adults aren’t getting the recommended seven hours of sleep. With constant connectivity and the fear of missing out disrupting sleep patterns, IKEA aims to shift the focus back to rest and relaxation. “At IKEA, we believe quality sleep is essential for a better everyday life,” said Malcolm Pruys, Country Retail Director of IKEA Malaysia. “Our Snooze Fest is designed to inspire Malaysians to prioritize their sleep and explore new ways to improve their rest.”

Throughout the month, IKEA stores in Damansara, Cheras, Tebrau, and Batu Kawan will host a variety of sleep-centric activities. From acoustic performances by local artists like Zee Avi and Alena Murang to practical sleep workshops and bi-weekly nap competitions, there’s something for everyone. Plus, visitors showing up in their coziest pyjamas can enjoy a complimentary nasi lemak breakfast. With additional surprises and influencer meet-and-greets planned, the IKEA Snooze Fest is set to be a dream come true for sleep enthusiasts.
