SEPANG, September 7 — The automated people mover system, better known as the Aerotrain, at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is on track to resume operations by January 31, 2025, according to Transport Minister Anthony Loke. He announced that two Aerotrain sets arrived last week and are now in the installation phase, with dynamic inspections set to begin in October to ensure the system operates smoothly.

Loke emphasized the importance of Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) closely monitoring the process to avoid further delays, particularly with Malaysia set to chair ASEAN and international meetings next year. The third Aerotrain set, expected to arrive in October, will serve as a backup, while the shuttle bus service will continue to be available for passengers during this transition period.
