GEORGE TOWN, September 6 — IJM Land Berhad has announced a temporary lane closure and traffic diversion on Tun Dr. Lim Chong Eu Expressway from September 9 to 12, 2024. The closure will affect the Bayan Lepas-bound route from September 9 to 11 and the George Town-bound route on September 12. This is to facilitate road widening and the construction of an elevated intersection for THE LIGHT Waterfront Penang project.
To minimize disruption, the closures will occur during off-peak hours between 10:00 PM and 5:00 AM. IJM Land will implement a comprehensive traffic management plan to manage the flow and ensure safety during the construction period. Road users are urged to exercise patience as these improvements will enhance traffic capacity and connectivity in the area.
