The upcoming solo exhibition, “Road to UNESCO: Sarong Kebaya Exhibition,” to be held from October 11 to 17, 2024, at OCBC Premier Banking, Beach Street, Penang, will showcase Mr. Loh’s exceptional craftsmanship and dedication to this traditional attire.
Mr. Loh, the visionary behind Kenny Loh Couture, has seamlessly blended traditional Peranakan design with contemporary fashion, earning accolades such as his fourth Malaysia Good Design Award and the Hasanah Gold Threads Award. His creations have graced international runways and been worn by celebrities, elevating Penang’s cultural heritage on the global stage. This exhibition not only celebrates his personal achievements but also highlights the ongoing efforts to preserve and promote our cultural legacy.
