KUALA LUMPUR, October 2 — Starting October 10, 2024, Malaysians will be required to use the MyDigital ID single sign-on (SSO) system to access the Road Transport Department’s (JPJ) MyJPJ app for reviewing road tax and driving licence information. JPJ has urged users to register with MyDigital ID to avoid difficulties logging in after this date.
Although the MyJPJ app is one of several ways to access licence and road tax details digitally, the switch marks a shift towards consolidating access through MyDigital ID. JPJ explained that while the JPJeID will still be available, its use will be restricted to the public portal and kiosks, making JPJ the first agency to mandate MyDigital ID for app access.
