KUALA LUMPUR, October 27 — The inaugural My Food 2025 event will take place in April, alongside the International Café and Beverages Show (ICBS) 2025 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Aimed at strengthening Malaysia’s food security, the event will provide a platform for local suppliers to connect directly with café operators and key stakeholders, fostering shorter and more reliable supply chains. By promoting local food sourcing, My Food 2025 helps reduce reliance on imports and enhances food accessibility in both urban and rural areas.
This initiative aligns with Malaysia’s shift towards greater self-reliance in food production and sustainability, offering exhibitors the opportunity to engage with industry leaders and café operators. “By encouraging local sourcing, we naturally shorten the distance from farm to table, contributing to more efficient and resilient food systems,” said Alun Jones, Project Director of Montgomery Asia. My Food 2025 is expected to play a pivotal role in the growth of the local food industry, supporting the café sector while meeting evolving consumer preferences.
