KUALA LUMPUR, October 21 — Sony has launched two innovative power supply solutions designed for its Alpha series and Cinema Line cameras that utilize the NP-FZ100 battery. The new BC-ZD1 battery charger can charge two batteries simultaneously in approximately 155 minutes when connected to a compatible USB Power Delivery power supply. This high-speed charger is compact and portable, featuring a five-stage battery charging status indicator and built-in heat monitoring for safety during operation.
In addition, the DC-C1 DC coupler offers a reliable power supply directly from an external source, ensuring continuous operation for long shoots or streaming sessions. Compatible with both NP-FZ100 and NP-FW50 battery packs, the DC-C1 works with USB PD adapters of 65W or more and includes features such as a locking screw hole to prevent cable disconnection and a 1.6m flexible cable for versatile setups. Both the BC-ZD1 and DC-C1 will be available in Malaysia starting November 2024, further enhancing the workflow for content creators.
