SEPANG, October 29 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has called on multinational corporations, such as the German logistics giant DHL, to invest in advanced skills training for Malaysian employees. At the launch of the DHL Express complex today, Anwar emphasized the importance of upskilling young Malaysians in areas like automation and digitalisation, which would benefit both the workers and the companies in the long term.

The prime minister highlighted Malaysia’s progress in attracting investments in data centres and artificial intelligence in states like Selangor, Johor, and Kedah. Ensuring a well-trained talent pool, he noted, is crucial to maintaining the country’s appeal to investors. “We cannot afford to move slowly, as changes are happening rapidly. If we lag, we will be left behind,” he warned.
