GEORGE TOWN, October 23 — Penang heritage brand Ghee Hiang has partnered with the Penang Chefs Association to launch a cookbook celebrating its 170th anniversary and the versatility of sesame oil.
Titled From Heritage to Plate, the cookbook features recipes from professional chefs showcasing different cuisines and cooking techniques using Ghee Hiang Sesame Oil.
Established in 1856, the company has also collaborated with universities in Malaysia and Hong Kong to research the properties of sesame oil.
Ghee Hiang Executive Director Chng Huck Theng said the initiative aimed to promote quality ingredients, preserve culinary traditions and inspire creativity in modern cooking.
