KUALA LUMPUR, February 28 — Dana Inovasi Media has seen enthusiastic participation from media organizations, with 50 applications received during Phase 1 from 1 to 14 January.
Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil said 34 organizations have been approved for funding totaling RM10.3 million.
Reflecting confidence in the initiative and the government’s commitment to high-impact, transparent support for technology, content, and talent development.
Phase 2, open from 9 to 22 February, attracted 19 organizations, while Phase 3 will run from 29 February to 14 March.
Fahmi emphasized that the fund aims to drive sustainable media transformation, encourage innovation.
And equip local media with the skills and technology needed to adapt to the evolving media landscape.
