KUALA LUMPUR, March 1 — Malaysia Airlines has cancelled several flights between Kuala Lumpur and Middle East destinations on February 28 and March 1 following airspace closures in parts of the region due to escalating security developments.

The affected services include routes to Doha, Jeddah and Madinah, with multiple outbound and return flights suspended as a precautionary measure. The airline said flights to these destinations will remain suspended pending further assessment of the situation.

In a statement, the carrier said affected passengers are being notified and assisted with alternative travel arrangements where necessary. Travelers are advised to update their contact details via the “My Booking” portal and may seek assistance through the airline’s Live Chat or Global Contact Centre.

Meanwhile, flights MH4 to London Heathrow and MH20 to Paris Charles de Gaulle continue operating on alternative routings via Afghanistan airspace, avoiding the affected conflict zone.
