KUALA LUMPUR, March 10 – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today unveiled the Capital Market Masterplan 2026-2030 (CMP4), a strategic roadmap designed to strengthen Malaysia’s financial market over the next five years.

The masterplan aims to grow the market from RM5.8 trillion to RM6.3 trillion by 2030, with a long-term goal of RM20 trillion by 2045, while prioritising sustainable and equitable investments. CMP4 focuses on four key themes—vibrancy, inclusivity, sustainability.

And regional opportunities—and directs capital toward high-growth sectors like advanced manufacturing, the digital economy, and green technology. A major objective is to mobilise RM90–100 billion in financing for projects with measurable environmental and social impacts.

Supporting Malaysia’s net-zero and climate resilience commitments. The masterplan also strengthens governance, disclosure, and investor protection, while promoting Bumiputera participation and socially responsible financing.

Including waqf-based and blended finance models, ensuring capital benefits both economic growth and social wellbeing.
